Salon of LGC-Solicit opinions on data security law

On August 11, 2020, LGC held its first offline Salon.

After the promulgation of the network security law, the goverment was widely soliciting opinions for the upcoming draft of the data security law.

Institute of cloud computing and big data, China Academy of information and communications(hereinafter referred to as Institute of cloud computing and big data) heard opinions on behalf of the legislature.

Since LGS was a platform for the heads of the legal departments of major companies across the country, the Institute of cloud computing and big data entrusted LGC to invite the heads of the legal departments of 10 companies to participate in this symposium related to legislation:

Ten companies closely related to data security, including China Mobile, Lenovo Group, Tongfang, Microsoft, Didi, meituan, Xiaomi, 360, Qualcomm and vipshop, attended the symposium.

First of all, Ms. Angel Yingjun Wang, founder LGC, introduced the guests. Mr. He Baohong, Director of Institute of cloud computing and big data presided over the meeting.

Ms. Yang Lingling, head of audit department of Institute of cloud computing and big data analyzed the areas where the enterprise needs to improve.The guests also put forward their own opinions and views.

The meeting also invited three heavyweight guests to attend: Mr. Ma Jiangtao, Chied Partner of Dentons, Mr. Zhang Tianjing, Partner of Kirkland & Ellis and Mr. Renyong, Chief Partner of T&D Law Firm. They bring professional advice to everyone from the perspective of lawyers.

After the symposium, the guests said that the event organized by LGC was very timely and meaningful.
