Dear All,
I sincerely invite you to attend the “Global General Counsels and Business Leaders (Beijing) Forum” which will be one of the most exciting events of the year. After successfully hosting the inaugural China America Legal Forum last year, we are building on that experience to increase the value of our forums. So, this year, we will expand the event to a two-day event, including nine sessions, four round table meetings and one fireside chat, as well as two luncheons, two receptions, and a gala dinner. It will be a very productive event, since you are going to learn a lot of helpful information, and networking with very high profile people as well.
I actively participated in many events and programmes sponsored by IBA, ABA, and UIA. It is very helpful for legal professionals to learn from each other, and develop business as well. People regularly attend some conference for years, and eventually they become friends. In China, we do not have such events. Therefore, we are making this forum. I think it is helpful to organize such events in China! We will do our best to make it a very high profile event once a year every year, just as if the World Economic Forum in the legal world.
The idea was supported by some GCs immediately. We have a committee started with 6 GCs who gave us a lot of suggestions and help. Now, more than 50 General Counsels from Fortune 500 companies and top Chinese companies attend events hosted by the CILACEC regularly throughout the year—and the group is growing quickly. These events are unique opportunities for general counsels to learn from each other and for attorneys to develop clients.
I sincerely thank the Partners of the event, International Business Daily, ACC, and AmCham China, as well as our Academic Support Renmin University of China Law School and our Primary Media Partner caixin.com. Also, I sincerely thank all of our sponsors.
I look forward to seeing each of you in Beijing this October!
Sincerely yours,
Angel Yingjun Wang
Chairperson, China International Legal Affairs & Culture Exchange Center (CILACEC)
