2016 marks the first year of China’s “13th Five-Year Plan”. With the growing trend of bidding farewell to the old and ushering new economy nationally, “New Economy, New Rules” have become the strongest signal of China’s New Normal.
While the rapidly developing science and technology revolution, and the internet wave are overwhelmingly capturing headlines, there is another even more massive undertaking secretly emerging. With the new economic order gradually materializing, technological change and innovation will substantially enhance economic opportunities, and the overall scale of the global economy will be larger than ever before.
In the new economic order, both opportunities and pitfalls exist at the same time. Although the future is bright, there are several problems in hand and many future uncertainties, such as monopolized markets, privacy violations, ignored rules, etc.
The experience we can garner from previous economic change is that those who follow the new rules will prosper, and those who ignore them will gain nothing in the end.
Daily enterprise operations, long-term strategic planning, investments, mergers and acquisitions, competitive relationships between enterprises, subtle give and take between enterprises and the government, economic trade between countries, and so on, will have to follow the flow of the times, and they will eventually be subject to the new rules under the new economic model, just like all other things.
In order to boost healthy and long-term development of corporates in the new economic environment, and provide professional, inspirational and intelligent support for enterprises to develop and grow, China International Legal Affairs & Culture Exchange Center (CILACEC) is going to host the 3rd “Global General Counsels and Business Leaders Forum”, scheduled to be held at NUO Hotel Beijing on September 24th, 2016.
This is an annual event held in autumn every year, and is a grand and extravagant conference tailored for legal professionals and business leaders. Known as the “Legal Davos” in the industry, 55 distinguished speakers and 291 guests participated in the Forum last year. This year, over 60 speakers have been invited, including top elites from the legal profession, business leaders, experts and scholars, and government sources, who will share their exceptional knowledge and perspectives at the Forum.
The Forum is expected to have about 300 distinguished guests, including vice-presidents, directors and other senior corporate executives in charge of legal affairs from China’s and Global Fortune 500 enterprises, heads and partners of China’s major law firms, partners at foreign law firms, government personnel, representatives from other organizations, and so on.
The 2016 Global General Counsels and Business Leaders (Beijing) Forum shall include a Plenary Session, General Counsels & Business leaders • TED Talks, professional sub-forums, roundtable discussions, grand night-time social networking events.
“Global General Counsels and Business Leaders Forum – the Legal Davos” will look at enterprise strategies in terms of corporate legal governance in a global context, and explore and seek new development paths and a win-win situation for all enterprises, in the New Normal economy.
