Ben Leung has been working at J.P. Morgan for over ten years, and is currently the Head of China Legal for J.P. Morgan.
Mr. Leung manages J.P. Morgan’s legal team in China and advises on a wide range of legal and regulatory issues concerning numerous wholly-owned and joint venture financial institutions of the J.P. Morgan group in China. Prior to assuming the China Legal Head role, Mr. Leung was in charge of providing legal coverage in respect of the North Asia M&A business of the J.P. Morgan investment bank, and assumed a leading role in providing legal oversight and advice in relation to the investment in, or establishment of, numerous financial institutions of the J.P. Morgan group in China as well as managing legal and regulatory affairs concerning such institutions.
Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Mr. Leung worked as a senior associate at the international law firm Clifford Chance for many years, and had worked on a number of onshore and offshore investments, mergers and acquisitions and financing projects involving leading international corporations and financial institutions as well as high-profile IPO and acquisition projects of prominent Chinese enterprises in Hong Kong.
