Mark Duval was appointed President of the American Chamber of Commerce in China on May 17, 2013.

An American citizen, Mark Duval grew up in Zimbabwe and South Africa before moving to the United States in 1990. He has been based in China since 1996, where for over 16 years he led Motorola China corporate strategy, operations and business development, public policy and government relations, communications and public affairs, crisis management, and go-to-market operations.

Mr. Duval is an active leader in the American business community and over the past near-decade he has led the AmCham Policy Committee, served on the AmCham board of governors, and as multiple‐term vice chairman played a driving role in enhancing AmCham’s policy and advocacy work and growing the forum and committee platform.

Mark has a BSc. from the University of KwaZulu‐Natal where he graduated with Deans List honors; a postgraduate diploma in Organizational Psychology from the Australian College of Applied Psychology, and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin‐Milwaukee.
