Cuijun (Katrina) Shi is the VP-General Counsel of Total China. Total Group is a leading international oil and gas company producing, refining and marketing oil and manufacturing petrochemicals. Total is present in more than 130 countries globally with 100,000 employees worldwide. Katrina is heading the legal department of Total China which consists of 6 lawyers supporting all the business segments of Total China including Marketing & Services, Refining & Chemicals and Exploration & Production with focus on operational matters, general corporate, mergers & acquisitions, employment as well as litigation and arbitration.
Before joining Total China in June 2014, Katrina was a senior legal counsel of Siemens Limited China for three years and a half mainly working on Siemens China Mergers & Acquisitions, joint ventures, divestments and carve-out. Katrina was also the General Counsel of the financial arm of State Grid Corporation of China for one year heading its legal and compliance department.
Katrina used to be in private practice for more than 10 years prior to transferring her career to in-house counsel. She was working with a leading UK law firm Beijing Office focusing on foreign direct investment, mergers & acquisitions, general corporate etc. and she also had experience of working with top Chinese local law firms.
Katrina is a panel arbitrator of China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission.
