Tina Dekker is the chief legal officer of McDonald’s China, one of the leading restaurant chains in China with more than 2,000 restaurants across China. In this role, she leads McDonald’s China legal, compliance, risk management, regulatory and corporate governance functions. As part of McDonald’s China’s core leadership team, Ms. Dekker is also actively involved in the company’s strategic direction and growth.
Ms. Dekker received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia College and a Juris Doctorate from the John Marshall Law School in 1994. She joined McDonald’s in 2008 and held a number of positions in the legal department supporting the U.S. and Global business. In 2014, she became the general counsel for McDonald’s China.
Prior to joining McDonald’s, Ms. Dekker was in-house counsel for Northwest Airlines, a partner in the law firm of Ungaretti & Harris in Chicago, Illinois and served as a law clerk to a United States Federal Judge.
