William Brekke is a Senior Foreign Service Officer with over thirty-five years of service. Focused on East Asia, Mr. Brekke has served in Beijing, where he was Minister Counselor for Commercial Affairs, and well as having served as the U.S.’ senior trade officer in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Taipei and Singapore. He has accumulated more than a quarter century of public diplomacy and business development in China working with key PRC officials, leading private sector corporations, NGOs, and academic programs. He has an established record of innovation and achievement as well as a solid knowledge of Chinese history, politics, and government operations.  His contacts include leading Chambers of Commerce, multinational corporations, and government Foreign Affairs and Commercial Bureaus. Most recently, his focus has been on promoting investment in the U.S.
