Ms. Wu is Legal Counsel at Golden Concord Holdings Limited (“GCL”) and Adjunct Professor of Shanghai University of International Business and Economic Law School. Previously, Ms. Wu was also Assistant Vice President at GCL Group, Legal Director of GCL-Poly Energy Holdings Limited (China) and various directorships at GCL’s subsidiary companies.
For over 20 years, Ms. Wu has engaged in corporate counsel, professional management and legal practice. She also has a wealth of experience regarding investments, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, compliance management, risk control and devising IPOs in Hong Kong. Not only is Ms. Wu well-versed in practices such as energy, alternative energy and mining, she has experience in financial management as well.
For over a decade at GCL, Ms. Wu has spearheaded the formation of its Legal Department, constructed its Legal Management System, formulated GCL’s Legal Management System’s standards and procedures, and guided and regulated GCL and its subsidiary companies’ legal risk management ventures. Ms. Wu was also responsible for all the legal aspects in the process of taking GCL-Poly Energy Holdings Limited (“GCL-Poly”, 3800.HK) public on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in November 2007. Additionally, she was partially involved in GCL-Poly Energy’s RMB 263,500,000 acquisition of Chinese solar energy firm Photovoltaic Industries (Poly-silicon & Wafer Production) (“PV Industries”) to become its controlling shareholder. ABL named it ‘Best Acquisition of the Year’ in 2009. During her time with GCL and GCL-Poly, Ms. Wu was also a member of dozens of investment and acquisition projects involving the coal, natural gas, biomass, solar energy and waste power generation industries.
