Mr. Liu Zhijian is General Counsel of JD Finance Group in charge of overseeing all legal affairs of the group. In addition, he is in charge of compliance and internal control affairs. Prior to joining JD Finance Group, Mr. Liu Zhijian served as Senior Counsel in GE Capital China in charge of corporate governance. He also once acted as Senior Director of Legal & Compliance in Alipay, Corporate Secretary of Haier New York Life Insurance Ltd., head of legal in Bank of China Insurance Ltd. and head of Non-Litigation Office in PICC Holding Company.
As Senior Counsel of GE Capital China, he led the working team, getting the first factoring license in China. As Senior Director of Legal and Compliance of Alipay, the related company of Alibaba, he led the working team, obtaining the first third party payment license in China. As head of legal of Bank of China Insurance Company, he involved in setting up the first bank insurance company in China. He also took part in the whole process of PICC’s restructure, making the first Chinese financial company go through the transition from wholly stated-owned company into an oversea listed company.
